David and Paola Cohen arrived in Finland from the United States in 2008, following David’s work.
David had already been a hobbyist brewer and winemaker in the U.S. and wanted to continue his passion in Finland. However, acquiring wine grapes proved to be difficult, so David and Paola turned their attention to the Finnish forests and the berries growing there. After years of background research, Ainoa Winery was founded in 2014. Through numerous international awards, David and Paola have demonstrated just how unique Ainoa’s wines are and how exceptional wines can be made in Finland.
