Duvel is produced by the independent Duvel Moortgat brewery, founded in 1871. The Moortgat brewery is located in the small village of Breendonk, near Brussels. The brewery’s absolute flagship product is Duvel, the world’s first Strong Golden Ale. A product that still defines its style. The name Duvel is Flemish for devil.
